Anna is a Humanistic and Integrative therapist specialising in CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy. She works in private practice and adopts a flexible and personalised approach to support clients with stress-management techniques for anxiety and panic attacks. She is passionate about languages and culture, and offers therapy in English, Italian and Spanish. Anna is also experienced working online through the EAP Programmes across Europe. In recent years, she has focused on children and adolescents, both in private practice and in Primary Schools in Ireland.Â

MSc Systemic Family Psychotherapy
Brian is an accredited Systemic Family Psychotherapist registered with the Irish Council of Psychotherapy and the Family Therapy Association of Ireland. His private practice is based in Stillorgan, Dublin and Laois where he works therapeutically with individuals, adolescents, couples, and families drawing upon evidence based best theory and practice in a confidential and non-judgemental manner.Brian has several years lecturing experience as well as several years’ experience designing and delivering undergraduate and post graduate degree programs in Ireland and abroad.
His research interest relates to high conflict relationship breakdowns and the impact of these on children and young people. He has been invited to deliver his research findings at national and international post graduate research conferences such as St. Petersburg, Russia, European Parliament Brussels, Queens University, Belfast, the Tavistock Clinic, London, British Psychological Society, and Dublin City University among others.
Brian is passionate about inviting professionals and practitioners to consider integrating systemic family ideas and interventions into their existing skill set enabling and empowering practitioners working with one or more individuals in a therapeutic setting.
Another area of Brian’s practice relates to family law mediation. He is accredited with the Mediator’s Institute of Ireland where he facilitates separating couples to retain decision making control regarding the dissolution of the marriage / relationship resulting in legally binding agreements as an alternative to the lengthy, costly, adversarial and arbitrary court process that can last many years perpetuating conflict, adding to the emotional and psychological distress to children and young people as well as dis-empowering parents from making their own decisions about their own lives in a timely manner. Brian Mainly runs CPD for PCI College in his area of expertise of Family work.

Carol is a faculty lecturer with the Athlone and Carrick-on-Shannon campus’, lecturing on all aspects of the BSc programme. She is the Academic Team leader for Athlone and Carrick-on-Shannon, which involves supporting the lecturing teams in those venues. Carol is the module leader for CP633 Personal and Professional Integration, involved in both module delivery and module development and improvement. Chris an accredited counsellor/psychotherapist and supervisor with an interest in substance misuse disorders and mental health. He is an experienced tutor and group facilitator and works both online and in person. Chris is passionate about counselling and self-development and facilitates workshops in MI as well as counselling approaches and skills. Further work facilitated learning for young people excluded from mainstream education, adults returning to education and leadership training. Colm is a founder member of The Centre for The Care of Survivors of Torture (CCST) in Dublin and of the former H.S.E. Asylum Seeker And Refugee Support Service in Drogheda (ARCSS).Colm works as a clinical supervisor, psychotherapist and tutor. He has an interest in Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) schemes and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) work. He maintains a private practice online and he is interested in cross cultural counselling and the psychoanalytic discourse.
At PCI College he manages the students in Year 2 of their BSc study programme and he lectures in humanistic and existential psychotherapy as well as personal development and psychoanalysis.

Dan brings a strong foundation in psychology, counselling, and education to his work at PCI College. He completed a Certificate in Psychology, Human Growth and Development, holds a QQI Train the Trainer qualification, and trained extensively with PCI College, completing the Certificate course and gaining both the Diploma (which was, at the time, accredited with the IACP) and the BSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy. Dan has been a practising counsellor/psychotherapist in Dublin since 2016, working from a robust integrative therapeutic framework rooted in humanistic counselling and psychotherapy. He incorporates CBT, solution‑focused, and psychodynamic approaches as required, tailoring his work to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. Dan also spent more than two years as a Psychotherapist with Pieta, where he provided specialised therapeutic support in the areas of suicide intervention, self‑harm, and bereavement. He is an accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP), reflecting his commitment to professional standards and ethical practice.In his role as Academic Support Officer, Dan plays a key leadership role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of academic processes across the college. He provides structured guidance and mentorship to Associate and new Lecturers, and oversees the work of Student Development & Progression Officers (SDPOs), who are central to the Care Team at PCI. Through this work, Dan contributes directly to maintaining a high‑quality student experience and supporting the academic and professional formation of therapists‑in‑training.
A core part of Dan’s responsibilities is the management of Student Concerns & Resolutions. He serves as the primary point of contact for all informal and formal student concerns, ensuring matters are addressed in line with college policies and procedures. Dan maintains clear reporting pathways, initiates appropriate mechanisms for investigation and response, and facilitates constructive discussions aimed at fair, timely, and student‑centred resolutions. He ensures all concerns and complaints are handled with consistency, transparency, and care. Beyond his academic and administrative duties, Dan contributes significantly to student engagement, programme progression, and PCI’s wider community outreach. This includes delivering progression visits to discuss the BSc pathway, hosting PCI’s podcast Empathic Exchange, and participating in both Certificate and BSc Opening Evenings. These initiatives help students navigate their training journey and build a strong sense of community within the college.
Dan is also a member of the PCI faculty, lecturing across Years 1 to 3 of the BSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy, where he supports students’ academic, clinical, and personal development throughout their training. Dan previously served as the Dublin Academic Team Leader, providing academic and administrative leadership across the region. In that role, he ensured the delivery of high‑quality learning experiences and oversaw programme standards in alignment with college policies and expectations.

Derek has a private practice as an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist and works as a DBT therapist/skills trainer in partnership with DBT UK & Ireland. He is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).
Derek draws on a range of approaches in his clinical work, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic-informed interventions, mindfulness, and philosophical perspectives. His areas of focus include the development of self-awareness, interpersonal effectiveness, increasing distress tolerance and building emotional resilience in clients.

Apart from lecturing for PCI College she assists in training undergraduate psychology Students on placement with Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Programme. Before becoming a counsellor Diane lectured in management and personal development for Southern Regional College, Queen’s University Belfast, Ulster University, and regionally across organisations in health and social care, where she was also a coach and a coach supervisor. Dr. Teresa Graham works in private practice as a Counselling Psychologist, has a degree in Psychology and Sociology from University College Cork, an MA in Sociology from WIT a PHD in Sociology from the University of Limerick, a Diploma in Counselling from the Institute of Counselling in Glasgow, a Diploma in Psychology from the Open University and a Diploma in Life Coaching from Newcastle College. She belongs to the British Psychological Association, and is qualified to carry out psychometric assessments, Is a Certified Mediator, specialising in family mediation, and mediation through separation and divorce and is member of the Irish Professional Mediators Organisation, and an Associate with Arc Mediation, Waterford. , Teresa lectures in Sociology at degree level for DCU and Counselling at foundation and degree level for PCI College, Dublin. Ericka is a fully accredited Psychotherapist with an Honours Degree from PCI College. She has been working as a therapist since 2017 and facilitates collaborative therapy through integrative styles. At the heart of her work is safety and empathy based on her core development in humanistic counselling, but she has further training and experience in psychodynamic therapy. Ericka values the relationship between client and therapist as the most important aspect of her work and works with her clients to establish a secure sense of trust and belonging. This is the foundation to a safe working space where clients can explore the ins and outs of their pain.
Ericka Lecturers across the Certificate & BSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy Her love of psychotherapy and education merges these two worlds, and she brings that into her teaching style. She relies on vulnerability and psychological safety as keys to success in the creation of a psychotherapist. Ericka also holds the position of Student Development & Progression Officer for our Year 1 Students in Dublin. Gavin is an accredited Counsellor/ Psychotherapist with a particular interest in Trauma studies. His interest is in how trauma in many ways manifests as both emotional disturbance and/or physical pain, the mind-body connection. Prior to studying Psychotherapy Gavin qualified as a Physical & Neuromuscular therapist in 2006 and has over 16 years’ experience treating muscular pain and injury and is a member of ANMPT. He had worked in clinical practice before setting up in private practice in 2013. Gavin works from a humanistic and psychodynamic perspective. He places importance on the therapeutic relationship and views this as the foundation to creating a safe and confidential space where people can talk without fear of judgement.
