Dip. BSc (Hons) Counselling and Psychotherapy. Diploma in Traumatology & PTSD. EMDR trained practitioner. Dip in Neuromuscular therapy. MIACP.


Gavin is an accredited Counsellor/ Psychotherapist with a particular interest in Trauma studies. His interest is in how trauma in many ways manifests as both emotional disturbance and/or physical pain, the mind-body connection. Prior to studying Psychotherapy Gavin qualified as a Physical & Neuromuscular therapist in 2006 and has over 16 years’ experience treating muscular pain and injury and is a member of ANMPT. He had worked in clinical practice before setting up in private practice in 2013. Gavin works from a humanistic and psychodynamic perspective. He places importance on the therapeutic relationship and views this as the foundation to creating a safe and confidential space where people can talk without fear of judgement. Also holding the position of Student Development & Progression Officer for our Year 3 Students in Dublin. The role as Student Development and Progression Officer (SDPO) is at the heart of this Care Team and a direct point of contact for both students and lecturers concerning actively supporting the development of the therapist in training throughout their programme.
