One of the biggest barriers to men seeking therapy is the belief that it’s a sign of weakness. Manosphere influencers often tell young men to ignore their feelings and focus on taking action. Yet this reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of mental health. Paying attention to our emotional lives within a caregiving relationship is, in fact, how we develop true resilience. In this lecture, psychotherapist David Kelly explores how the “talking cure” helps men build the emotional strength needed to face life’s challenges head-on.
