Niamh has worked in Finance for over 20 years, starting her career in the IFC (International Finance Corporation) in Washington DC, following on to working in various SME’s and Multi-National experience as a Financial Analyst. Oonagh Hogan works as a psychotherapist (IACP), trainer and lecturer. She also continues to work with the HSE has worked with this organisation for over 20 years. Oonagh joined PCI College in 2015 and predominantly lectures in the areas of Skills and Personal Development. Padraig is an accredited member of ICP as a Counsellor & Psychotherapist since 2004 and has been working as a supervisor since 2017. He has worked as a counsellor in a HSE residential unit for substance misuse and trauma and runs a successful private practice providing one to one therapy to clients with dual diagnosis presentations, along with his supervision work. As a past student of PCI, training to become a supervisor, he has further training in the areas of CBT, DBT and EMDR.As I’m in a matured stage of life I value my leisure time and enjoy reading fiction, music, swimming and as much time in sunny climate as I can get.

After 10 years in primary teaching, he joined the Department of Education and Skills as Inspector of Schools, retiring some years ago as Assistant Chief Inspector. Subsequently, he graduated from PCI College with the degree of B.Sc. (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University. Pat’s lifelong interest in teaching and learning continues through voluntary involvement in educational administration.Board Member

One of my principal areas of activity is psychosexual work and I am a member of the Institute for Psychosexual Medicine (IPM) and the Society for the Study of Sexually Transmitted Diseases in Ireland (SSSTDI). To maintain continuous professional development I attend ongoing seminars with both organisations and am currently engaged in the IPM diploma course.
In my spare time I am an avid reader and gardener. I travel extensively and enjoy swimming and walking.

Philomena’s role with PCI College is CPD Lead, Faculty Lecturer, Academic Team Leader for Belfast and Student Development and Progression Officer for Dublin Year 2 BSc Students. The role as Student Development and Progression Officer (SDPO) is at the heart of this Care Team and a direct point of contact for both students and lecturers concerning actively supporting the development of the therapist in training throughout their programme. Philomena, BSc Counselling & Psychotherapy (Hons), is an accredited therapist with the IACP and maintains a private practice in Carlow. Philomena trained as an integrative therapist with a speciality in CBT, working with Adults, Couples and Adolescents. She has spent numerous years working with individuals who have experienced sexual violence in their lives. Philomena is currently finishing a MSc in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy which assist’s her work. She holds a degree in Communication Systems and Marketing from the University of Lincoln, along with a Certificate in Equality in Training and Education from NUI Maynooth.With over 27 years’ experience in higher education across both UK and US institutions, Rhiannon brings extensive expertise in recruitment, admissions, academic governance, and student services. Her breadth of experience provides valuable insight and leadership across all areas of higher education administration.
Rhiannon has a strong interest in strategic change and business management development and is deeply committed to enhancing student support and delivering high standards of customer service.

She has a successful private practice in Cork City centre that provides counselling to individuals and EAP sessions privately to local businesses. Samantha also has an online personal development and mentoring business, Chapter You.Although she is new to lecturing, she has spent the past 15 years training and teaching through various careers.
She regularly hosts workshops in personal development and mental health matters. Samantha is passionate about psychoeducation, and believes it is paramount in a client’s journey to healing.

Sean is an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with the BABCP. He has 18 years of experience in CBT practice, treating adults in the UK and Ireland, both face to face and online, presenting with mild to severe mental health difficulties in primary care, as outpatients and inpatients following hospitalisation. He specialises in working with adults with mood disorders, in particular depression and Bipolar disorder, and in providing group CBT over the past 6 years. He has engaged in psychoeducation of mood disorders for professionals and the public via workshops, seminars, and webinars. Sean advocates for greater understanding of and de-stigmatisation of mood disorders.
