The Exercise Effect:

An exploration of the associations between physical exercise and mental health

 

 

Course Details

This workshop will examine the relationship between exercise and mood by informing the participants on current research from the field, examining practical psychoeducational pointers for our clients and encouraging clients to be more proactive in sustaining positive mental health by incorporating moderate exercise into their self-care routine.

 

This workshop will broaden particpants professional knowledge of the beneficial ties between exercise and mood.

Eligibility:  Qualification in Counselling, Psychotherapy and students currently in professional training. Entry is by online application form.

  • Practical tips for educating clients on the psychological and emotional benefits of exercise

Core Tutor
           

Donagh is a Faculty lecturer and core tutor for PCI College where he lectures on the Level 8 Degree Programme. He is an experienced and fully accredited therapist offering counselling and psychotherapy services to individuals and groups in private practice in Waterford. Donagh also facilitates and delivers workshops on a wide range of psychotherapeutic topics including Stress management in the workplace, Communication skills and Coping with change in an ever-changing world and has a particular research interest is investigating the links between physical exercise and mood.
