Congratulations Noeleen Murphy -

IACP Regional Award 2020

 

 

Noeleen Murphy, PCI College Lecturer, received an IACP Regional Award for her contribution to the field of counselling and psychotherapy and we at PCI College are very proud to have her on our team.

 

Noeleen is an experienced psychotherapist/counsellor and has worked in in field of mental health for over 20 years. Noeleen has been a committee member of the IACP South East branch and has also acted as chairperson. During her time on committee, focus was placed on informing the general public and GPs of the role that psychotherapy and counselling plays in the wellbeing of individual’s mental health. She leads the team of counsellors in a family centre in Waterford. Her work as Administration in the family centre involves allocations of all clients who apply to the centre for Counselling and allocating them a Counsellor to work with. In addition she also communicates with social worker’s and GPs who seek a referral for clients to access help with mental health issues. She has a BA in Social Care. Her training in Counselling and Psychotherapy was with PCI College and she holds a BSc . She also obtained her Master’s degree in Counselling from UCC. Her training includes an advanced Diploma in Supervision awarded by PCI College and validated by Middlesex University. In her role as Lecturer with PCI College, she strives to ensure her Students achieve a high standard in their training to enable them deliver an effective and professional services to those who seek their help. She is involved in many area of services of mental health, working with Domestic violence refuge, school counsellor and also working with students engaged in early school leaving project. She has been awarded the IACP Regional Award 2020 in recognition of her work and commitment to Counselling and Psychotherapy.
